What gets you out of bed in the morning . . . and keeps you awake at night?

A passion for excellence at Thirst Creative definitely gets us out of bed every morning, but an even deeper purpose keeps us awake at night.

“Five years ago, we visited a slum in Haiti called Cité Soleil. 400,000 people in eight square miles with virtually no sewers, water or electricity. Gangs in control. The United Nations considers it one of the most impoverished and dangerous areas in the Western Hemisphere. Children there have one of the highest disease and death rates in the world. They are a beautiful people that need hope.

Our hearts were broken. No one on earth should live like this. Since that moment, we had a new purpose and mission in life – to help provide the children of Cité Soleil with clothing, food and education. My wife, Brandy, and I started a nonprofit called Java Relief and a store called One Boutique to help fund these life-giving initiatives.”

Below you will get a glimpse of our deeper purpose in life.

Ninos Para Dios - Bucaramanga, Colombian

Since 2015 eight million people have fled Venezuela because of economic collapse. Four million of them are now in Colombia.

At first, Colombia welcomed Venezuelans, but that has changed. They are now outcasts. Racism is common. Many live in makeshift homes made of plastic tarps. The Venezuelan refugees walk for weeks to find hope.

Many husbands have left their wives and children to fend for themselves. Dreams of a better life lead them to the streets of Bucaramanga, Colombia. But upon arrival, harsh reality sets in — jobs are scarce and desperation is high.

Many women are left with no choice but to turn to prostitution to survive. Bucaramanga, Colombia, is a beautiful city of 600,000 people but like all large cities, it has its dark side where crime, drug use, and the sex trade industry thrive. This is where children suffer the most, being left alone in dangerous locations facing malnutrition, lack of education, and abuse.

Watch this short video to understand the current situation and how Niños para Dios is helping.

100% Volunteer, 100% of profits help children at risk!

Java Relief exists to help children at risk worldwide. Together, we can give hope to children. Around the world, children are living in extreme neglect and poverty. The children we support in Africa, Haiti, Honduras, India, Peru, Colombia, and here in the USA need food, education, medical care, shelter, freedom from sex trafficking and the knowledge that someone cares. Our hearts are broken over the needs of these children. We feel that it is our calling to help them.
